ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The Educational institutions play a significant role in the economic development of a country and they produce the right type of human resources needed by different sectors of the economy. The technical and non- technical higher learning institutions presume greater importance in this context which produces the technical manpower needed for the industry. It is necessary to establish the appropriate links between the institution and the industry in order to make maximum use of facilities, expertise and innovation for the benefit of the economy development. Today ED Cell is one of the platforms to interact and link the Industries and educational institutions, with a view to train the people within college to produce entrepreneurs.

The main objectives of our ED Cell are:
  1. To create an environment for Self-employment, Promote Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship development through formal and non-formal programs.
  1. Provide a platform to take-up 'Entrepreneurship' as an alternative career.
  2. Identify and provide solution for the problems of small business management & entrepreneurs.
  3. Provide training & retraining of entrepreneurs through variety of programmes.
  1. To develop technical personnel at appropriate levels for the non-corporate and unorganized sectors like education, rural development, small-scale industry etc.

Business game and many more allied activities for our college students as well as students from neighboring institutions and any graduate student in Tamil Nadu and also to liaison with various external agencies like MSME, CED, NABARD, SIPCOT, SIDCO, SISI, DIC and leading Financial Institutions & Banks like IDBI, SIDBI, TIIC, Indian Bank and others.
