The committee was set up in order to redress academic, non-academic problems and grievances which faculty and students undergo in the campus. Proper remedial measures or actions are made with regard to the base and nature of the problems.

This committee is formed as per guidelines from AICTE approval process handbook for the academic year 2017-18 and the Scheduled Castes and the scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. 1989, No. 33 of 1989, and dated 1 1 .09.1989.This committee spreads awareness and prevent untoward incidents regarding these matters as well as handle the complaints with reference to the above said act.

The scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell in an institute promotes the special interest of students in the reserved category and to provide special inputs in areas where the students experience difficult. The cell regularly have to conduct remedial coaching classes on life skills, personality development, writing assignments and making presentations and also have to organize interactive sessions and informal meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic problems. In case of any grievance in this regard, students can approach the committee for redressal. The committee will suggest measures to prevent atrocities, if any against the members of SC/ST students in our College and to ensure the feeling of security amongst them as per the provisions in the said act.
