On behalf of Sri Shanmugha College Of Pharmacy, Morur Post, Pullipalayam Sankari Tk, Salem Dt the following members were appointed in the anti – ragging committee. The committee has the rights to act against ragging by means of any conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing , treating , handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance , hard ship, or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or junior student or asking the student to do any act or perform something which such students will not in the ordinary course which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique, or psyche of a fresher or a junior student. Date: 14.02.2021 Time: 10.00 am Venue: Board Room
Subject: In Pharmacy College Board Room a meeting was conducted to form the Anti-Ragging committee members. The extract of the minutes of the meeting are as follows.
The meeting was conducted with committee members and the following points were discussed in order to prevent the ragging related incidents.
- Members of anti-ragging committee are called to execute ragging preventive measures.
- Members are directed to prevent the ragging in and outside of the campus. If anything found, members are asked to bring it of the notice to the principal immediately.
iii. Committee has taken steps and allotted duties to all the staff members at almost all areas in the college (i.e. canteen, parking places, different blocks, play grounds etc.) and ensure that at least one faculty member will be present at any particular time at all the locations to avoid ragging activities.
- Members and staff are directed to follow and act accordingly to the law of anti ragging act.
- Members of anti-ragging committee in bus are directed to prevent the ragging in the bus. The respective in charges are the responsible for their buses.
- Conduct awareness programme among the students and counsel them if necessary. vii. If any type of ragging is occurred, immediately conduct the meeting and recommend appropriate action to be taken as per the Act of prohibition of ragging in Educational Institutions (26 of 1997) to the concerned authorities.
viii. Wide canvassing about anti-ragging, is being done in the forms of Flexes, Posters and Boards in college premises and surrounding areas where there is a chance of ragging.
- Create peaceful and ragging free atmosphere in the college campus/surroundings

Subject: In Pharmacy College Board Room a meeting was conducted to form the anti ragging committee members. The extract of the minutes of the meeting are as follows.
The meeting was conducted with committee members and the following points were discussed in order to prevent the ragging related incidents.
- Committee has taken precautions to avoid ragging activities at other locations like bus stops and given instructions and appointed student volunteers and secret informers at various boarding points.
- Committee has taken steps and allotted duties to all the staff members at almost all areas in the college (i.e. canteen, parking places, different blocks, play grounds etc.) and ensure that at least one faculty member will be present at any particular time at all the locations to avoid ragging activities.
- Members and staff are directed to follow and act accordingly to the law of anti ragging act.
- Organize meeting with students especially with girls to advise them to regulate their own movements and interactions, especially with strangers or undesirable characters.
- Advise the girl students to communicate to their parents and faculty, if any sort of ragging occurs.
- Frequent rounds in the College Campus and surroundings.
- Keep close watch on the visitors of non-students/strangers in the college campus. 8. Create peaceful and ragging free atmosphere in the college campus/surroundings.
