ADMISSION NORMS

Admission is done as per State Government norms.
Admission to various courses is based strictly on merit.
The fee structure and assistance schemes ensure that the economic status of the students does not become an inhibiting factor to pursue the programme of study.

Admission Policy – UG

(As per State Government Norms)

Government Quota	65 %	Admission done by Government of Tamil Nadu through, Anna University, Chennai. The admission is based on the marks scored in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in +2 examinations
Management Quota	35 %	Admission based on Merit list prepared by Consortium of Self-Financing Engineering Colleges. (As per Government & Supreme court guidelines)
AICTE fee waiver scheme	5 %	Merit-cum-means based
Lateral Entry (Admission to Direct Second Year)	20 %	65% of 20% Government Quota, and 35% of 20% Management Quota

Admission Policy – PG

UNDER-GRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Application for admission shall be made in the prescribed form. The form can be obtained from the College Office or download from given link. Separate application shall be made for each course.

B.E/B.Tech degree course will be completed over a period of 4 years consisting of 8 semesters.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

shall be submitted to The Principal, Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology Tiruchengode – Sankari Main Road, Pullipalayam, Morur(Po), Sankari (Tk), Salem (Dt) – 637 304.

Admission will be made in each branch according to the rules of reservation prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Direct admission will be done under Management Quota. The candidates can directly approach the Principal from the next day of the publication of +2 results with a printout of marks from internet.

UNDER-GRADUATE PROGRAMMES (LATERAL ENTRY)

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or Equivalent after undergoing regular course of three years study in an approved institution are eligible for admission.

B.E/B.Tech degree course will be completed over a period of 3 years consisting of 6 semesters.

Application for admission shall be made in the prescribed form. The form can be obtained from the College Office or download from given link. Separate application shall be made for each course.

All admissions made are subject to verification of the Mark Statements by the Director of Government Examination and if the Mark Statement is found to be bogus, the admission is liable to be cancelled and criminal action would be taken against the concerned candidate.
