Report on “Awareness Programme on Women Safety”

POSH Cell of Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology has organised an Awareness Programme on Women Safety on 24th February 2022. Dr. A. Suphalakshmi, Vice-Principal, who presided the welcome address and invited the chief guests Tr. R. Appu, Sub-Inspector of Police, Mrs. B. Revathi WGR-1 and Mrs. S. Alamelu WGR-1 from Sankari Police Station. Tr. R.Appu made a speech on safety measures and precautions to both boy and girl students, following with the talk who explained how the women safety helpline number 181 & 1098 works and functioning procedure. Mrs. B. Revathi and Mrs.S. Alamelu given a counselling for Girl students individually and shared their real life experiences about social media how it exploits the photos and videos of women and educated the girl students with the basic etiquettes to face the society with safe arena. The event was really beneficial which made them aware of safety measures to be followed.
The event was successfully ended with Vote of thanks delivered by Dr.K.Meenambika, AP/Maths.
