It is a great joy for me to witness the rapid progress of this college within a short span of time. Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology is known for providing an eco-friendly atmosphere, disciplined culture and techno-campus while using modern teaching-learning methods and effective training and placement records.
I am constantly inspired by the management, which pays close attention to ensure quality and growth of the institution and faculty, who strive hard to monitor, mentor, appreciate and encourage each and every student to overcome their shortcomings and excel in their academic as well as personal life. In turn, our students are determined and committed towards achieving their goals.
As our predecessors, I am very much sure that we will continue this journey in the years to come by producing both intellectually and emotionally sound generations.
Dr.G.M.Tamilselvan obtained B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiar University in the year 1998 and M.E Process Control and Instrumentation Engineering from Annamalai University in the year 2004. He completed his PhD from Anna University in the year 2011. He is having more than two decades of experience in Teaching, research, accreditation and administration. He has published more than 130 papers in National and International journals. He has published 9 patents and one got granted. He is a recognised PhD supervisor of Anna university guided 8 scholars and guiding 1 scholar. He has received more than 75 lakhs fund from various funding agencies like AICTE, DST, MIB etc. He has received 5 awards for best researcher, Academician etc. His research interest includes Wireless Communication and Networking , Wireless Process control and Wireless Sensor Networks.
Dr.N.Natarajan
Vice Principal-Academics
Dr.N.Natarajan completed his B E in Mechanical Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology Coimbatore during 1990 with first class, M E in Production Engineering from Government College of Technology Coimbatore and PhD during 2008 from PSG College of Technology Coimbatore under Anna University Chennai.
He has more than 27 years of experience in teaching, academic administration and research and served at various capacities from lecturer to Principal. He is also having five years of experience in industry.
He is having rich experience in the establishment of laboratories, getting new UG and PG programmes. He has published more than 30 papers in international journals and more than 20 papers in international and national conferences and one book in Springer publications. He is an approved supervisor of Anna University for guiding scholars leading to PhD degree. Under his guidance five scholars have completed PhD degrees and five scholars are in progress. He is a doctoral committee member for Anna University and Karunya University. He has membership in professional bodies like ISTE, IE(I), ASMPE and SSI. He has delivered guest lectures at various colleges on Composite materials, Industry 4.0 and Automation.
Dr.Sunil Kumar
Vice Principal-Accreditation
Prof. Sunil kumar obtained the M.Sc. degree in Radio physics & electronics from P.G. Department Muzaffarpur and M.Tech. from RIT/NIT Jamshedpur. He completed his PhD from Govt. university in 2002.
Dr. Sunil Kumar started his teaching career at Technological Institute of Textile & sciences ,a renowned Birla engineering college. Dr.Kumar upgraded as a full professor in 2008 at D.I.T. (Dehradun institute of Technology) Gr.Noida.After serving the college five years He joined as a Professor & Dean at Sri Sai University, palampur (H.P.). Prior to SSCET ,salem (Anna university) He worked as a Prof.& HOD (EEE) With additional charge of Controller of examination at Kalinga university ,Raipur. He has more than 30 years experience of Teaching ,Research & Academic administration.
He is the author of more than 100 journal Research papers, 20 conference papers,04 chapters, 01 Book, 02 Copyright (IPR) & 01 patent. Dr.Kumar guided 13 PhD scholars and 04 are under process.He also completed a funded project at IOCL, Mathura refinery.
Prof. Sunil Kumar is Chairman of BOS, Member academic council, Member Board of Management, Governing council and also advisory board member of one reputed university of Rajasthan.
Dr.K.Meenambika
Vice Principal-Growth & Transformation
Dr.K. Meenambika’s journey in the field of mathematics is truly impressive and speaks volumes about her dedication and passion for the subject. Graduating in mathematics in 2005 and subsequently completing both a Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics demonstrate her commitment to advancing her knowledge and expertise over the years. Her specialisation in Operator Theory and Graph Theory showcases her focus on fundamental and advanced areas of mathematics, which are critical for various applications in science and engineering.With a decade of experience, she has honed her skills both as a team player and as an independent researcher, demonstrating her ability to thrive in diverse work environments. Her proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with her creative mindset, likely contributes to her success in tackling complex mathematical challenges.
The publication of 19 research articles in reputable national and international journals reflects the quality and impact of her scholarly contributions to the field. Such a prolific publication record highlights her significant role in advancing mathematical research and disseminating new knowledge to the academic community.
Receiving the Leader of the Year award in 2023 from Sri Shanmugha Educational Institutions is a testament to her outstanding leadership qualities and contributions to her academic community.She continues to inspire and mentor students while pursuing her research interests in mathematics. Her dedication to learning and problem-solving undoubtedly enriches both her professional journey and the broader mathematical community.
Dr Suresh Babu V
Controller of Examinations
Dr.V.Suresh Babu received the B.E. Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2003 from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and M.Tech. Degree in Computational Engineering and Networking in the year 2006 from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He completed his Ph.D. in the year 2018 under the guidance of Dr S Vijayan from Anna University Chennai. He has 18 years of experience in teaching and research.
His research interests include Embedded Systems, Computer Networking, Image Processing and VLSI Design. He has 28 Publications in International Journals and National Journals, and has presented papers in 15 Conferences. He has received “Innovative Professional Award” from the Society of Professional Engineers and “Best Industrial Innovation Award” from International Journal of MC Square Scientific Research.
He holds life membership in IETE, IE(I) and ISTE. He has published two text books in international publications for the benefit of the student community. He was one among the Co-Principal Investigator for the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi funded project in which he has worked for the betterment of tribal communities. He has completed AICTE – NITTTR Mentor Certification Course and also holds ISO Auditor certificate for conducting internal auditing.
Dr.N.R.Srinivasan
Research Advisor
Professor N. R. Srinivasan serves as the Research Advisor for Sri Shanmugha Educational Institution. He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and an M.Tech from Anna University, Chennai. He was honoured with the Best PhD Thesis Award in 2014 by IIT Bombay for his research on the utilisation of nanoparticle-porous material hybrids for energy and environmental applications. His research interests include nanoparticles, water treatment, energy storage devices, and mathematical modeling. He has published 20 research papers in reputed international journals, with an h-index of 14. Further, he secured a research grant of 20 Lakhs from the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
Professor Srinivasan’s commitment to shaping future-ready professionals extends beyond the classroom. A testament to his multi-faceted expertise, his accomplishments in teaching, administration, and research will equip students to embrace the evolving landscape beyond academia and significantly help the faculties of Sri Shanmugha Educational Institution (SSEI) in their 360-degree development.
